lq4 mustang?
I have a 6.0 out of a hummer im guessing its a lq4?
It was free so im considering putting it in a fox coupe.
I will probably start off by buying a ls swap roller with decent stuff. (full weight car)
This will be a low budget build!!
IM new to the ls engine so sorry for any stupid questions.
Im wanting it to Be extremely streetable and run low 7's on motor on pump gas and be capable of handleing a 150 shot.
what would have to be done to the engine to get this?
what size carb?
intake?
cam?
Heads?
Would it get good enough mpg to be really streetable?
Thanks for the help
Micah

OK I decided I wanna build a car for a class
Can yall help me with a combo for this class???
Turbo or n.o.s??
I will have to run at least 6.0's to competitive
Rules
Drag radials, 28” max tire height or 28x10.5 slick no W
Coilover cars must be on a drag radial
Any engine combo. No sheet metal intakes.
Single power adder only and limited as follows:
Nitrous: 73 jet max
Supercharger: No larger than Procharger DS1C , Vortech T-trim , Paxton Novi 2000
Turbocharger: No larger than 70mm inlet. No reducers
Stock appearing interior. Must have carpet and driver/passenger seats. Rear seat deleted allowed. No sheetmetal dash’s. Race style buckets seats are allowed
Working headlights, taillights, blinkers
Car must have stock frame rails. No backhalfed cars, no tube chassis cars, no ladder bar cars, no 4-link cars.
Stock type rear suspension and coilovers ok , mini tub ok
Full exhaust with mufflers. Exhaust must exit car a minimum of 12” before the rear axle.

Did I place this in the wrong place for build advice?
I'm new to the ls family but I would love to learn with some help.
I need to run low 6's on either a 150 shot or a 70mm turbo
Which would be better?
What Heads?
Cam?
Carb?

It seems to be in the right place to me but could try gen 3 internal.I understand your frustration, when I post I get few responses also. It is alot of mustang swaps on here if you search I guess you could mimick one of their combos. I will reread your post and search and see what I can come up with. Actually I would start off with the weight of car and figure out how much power you will need to be competitive. Also what is your budget?
