Default LSA in 71 Z28

Hello All,

First off I am new here so if this should be in a different section please advise/move. I did a search on this and didnt really find much so here goes:

Basically, I am putting a LSx into a 71 Camaro, specifically a GMPP LS3 480, or an LSA. The LSA is appealing becasue of the low end torque and HP without a huge dollar premium over the 480. I cant seem to find a lot of info on folks doing this swap. Is there somethinkg I am missing here, or is it just cost prohibitive? I think for the cost of the LSA I could build or have a LS3 built that would match the HP but not the low end torque and drivability. Again am I missing something here?

Secondarily if anyone is doing this (LSA), how are you addressing the heat exchanger? The engine comes with the intercooler but no heat exchanger? Some options might be buying the OE pump and the ZL1 aftermarket kits and retrofit (the TORQ kit looks nice, also the Livernois kit looks nice)? or maybe an Edelbrock exchanger with stock pump?

I appreciate any thoughts on the LSA and if anyone has experience with the heat exchanger that would be great!

Thanks and I look forward to detailing this build with the community here!!!
