I got mine installed today ...took me forever man...darn engine mounts was giving me HELL. They wouldnt line up for **** but after swappin em twice i got it to sit down in there. Accessories going on 2mar...hopefully running also...with the headers i have, on the passenger side i have to grind the ear off and they clear fine....
Here is an installed pic.

Thanks Greenturtle, weather was a bummer here a full week..
Toomuchstuff, it wasnt more so the transdapts, it was the stock mounts that i was having trouble with, smh...but thats all said and done now. Got other issues now, lol.
70 LSmaro and lselco, appreciate that guys. Im running into another problem. THOSE DARN EBAY HEADERS, smh..So I bought those to test the engine with and i was going to purchase hedmans or pacesetters once i got the engine up and running, BUT these headers fc*n SUCK...well at least on the passenger side. The driver side fit almost better than a stock manifold but on the passengers side, the flange is warped BAD, and the primaries are so bulky and not fitting right. So now im stuck with no header on passenger side or put it there and have a bad exhaust leak. I've cut a primary out just to get it to fit and welded a piece of pipe in there, NOT PRETTY but they were cheap headers so oh well. I cut 1" from flange and 1/4" from pipe to get extra clearance from frame. fits good now but that darn flange is so warped on the back 2 exhaust ports. So today when i get off work i will remove them again, takes all but 15 seconds, and get a ruler and lay across the flange and grind down the uneven part..Hope that works until i get the final set of headers. Just need to crank this thing up.

For the anyone that know for sure
Which headers fit the best in these cars?? Read the pacesetters fit perfectly and the Hedmans fit with minimal mods...BTW if it helps, I'm using the 1" setbacks also.
The Pacesetter 2256
or
Hedman 68534
Need to order one or the other today to be here for Friday

Depending on how far you have your engine set back, I got a buddy that has a LQ9 in his 1979 Impala 2 door and he's using pacesetter TBSS headers. Also, a few of the Tri-9 Imapala SS guys are using F-Body Pacesetters, and said they fit great. I'm not too sure of the frame differences (minor I'm sure) but that's my .02.
I definitely prefer the car on the current wheels. I say 2/3 piece or nothing at all personally.

Hey guy....quick question about milling the 317s on my LQ4..The cam Im wanting to use is the EPS 234/246 or 236/248....Either one of those. I have to have that choppy idle also so im going to call Geoff and see what he says...But with either of those cams, would i have to flycut by milling the 317s .030 or .040??????
