Default 91 240sx lm7 jack of all trades........no lm7, going ls1 now

hello everyone, i'm just here to add to the growing number over import guys that wanna join the V8 train. my build will consist of the motor itself and it will be done on a budget. it will be daily driven, drifted, tracked (road race and 1/4 mile) and street raced. my goal to start out is the same amount of power i made in my built turbo 4 (370ish whp and 400+wtq). it will be sprayed if i get close enough to the 10's but all i need to do is beat my personal best time of 11.65@118mph 1.6 60' for this to be considered a success.

this is the car it will be going into

heres my lm7 (yeah i know its dirty)

picked up some goodies for it already

even found time to clean and paint the valve covers and front cover

also picked up a free lt1 t56 with a bad 3rd gear. need to get it cleaned put back together as an ls1 t56 (already researching whats needed).

enjoy, comment, help

Welcome to the dark side!! By far one of my favorite 240s from the area, functional car that put in work in the east. Sure when it hits the road you wont be disapointed.

Stock pistons and rods. Thanks tweek, I might make an appearance or two in mexcio since nobody wants to buy my radials. This build is gonna take time though. I'm really in no rush either. If you know of anyone with stock brackets hit me up on Fb or callouts.

Tore the motor down so I can do rod and cam bearings. Dunno about mains but I probably will.

looks like you're building your own headers, building your own mounts too?

you should consider epoxying the holes, and porting the TB along with the coolant bypass.

Welcome to the club! You will not regret going v8 in your 240. I get a ton of attention from a huge variety of car enthusiasts. Its so much fun to drive also.
You may wish you went turbo if your building your own headers anyway. Its not much more to just make them forward facing with an ebay turbo... it may actually be easier not dealing with the steering shaft, lol. Hp is like sex, you can never get enough... I started with wanting a cam only car, and now im building a 80mm turbo setup... Anyway, keep up the work! There is a ton of good info out there to help you do it right the first time.

good thing you have a s13, on the s14 that nitrous plate would make it impossible to fit an intake on, I wanted a plate but ended up using a direct injection kit
