Default Short crank lq4???.please verify (pics)

I hate sounding like a newb, but not real sure if this is the short crank or not..
If it is,what will I need with this flexplate to mount a th400 to it?without buying a custom converter
Crank pic

With "supposedly" ls1 flexplate, just sitting on there..not bolted up

Any info will be appreciated!

Are the heads stock and if so are they iron? IIRC the iron headed lq4 had the long crank. Mine did. I'm not sure how true my statement is, but I seem to remember that.

I think you buy a spacer and not a converter.

That is the short crank motor. I don't use the GM spacer. I use the one made by Hughes and the curved flexplate.

Talked to Chris from circle d today..he told me with the power my motor is making, and me planning on running a shot on it later..that I need a sfi certified flexplate..so I'm just gonna go with there flexplate and ls to th400 converter..

That motor will not work with the 4l60e you have. The conveter will not bolt up. As the longer crank flange will prevent it form fitting. You could just run a 4.3L converter and the flat flex plate and that should work.
