Nice build glad to see fellow Monte owners around. Check out the L76 intake off of a G8 same as the LS3 with different map location for less money. The LS1 F-body oil pan works really well just have to slightly notch and box the cross member. If that's an L92 you can use that water pump with the car intake just have to remove the upper idler pulley and shorten the belt. Shepard auto parts have a really nice 3 core all aluminum radiator listed for a buick regal which is cheap $150. If you use the L92 water pump you can use a 6.2 Denali upper hose and its a direct fit along with a buick GN lower hose.
Good luck on the build and look forward to see the progress.

Awesome ! Thanks for the input man. As for the water pump, I am going to get a new one regardless just because its easy to get to now and its off already. And I do plan to adjust where the upper idler pulley goes once I get a car intake. There's a right up on s10forum that has good details that give me what I need to do.

The aluminum radiator, do you have it on your build? And how does it cool? By any chance is it a dual passenger side radiator or the traditional type? I'd really like the more clean look of both the hoses going to the passenger side so I do not have like a 5 ft hose going from one side to the other, lol.

Yea I have the radiator in my Monte and my bro has one in his GN and Ive been stuck in traffic outdoor temp of 105-110 and ect 195-210 works great. The hose connections upper is on the driver side and lower on pass side but if you look at my pics the upper hose fits perfect. Just a suggestion really nice radiator for a good price.

Sweet. Any time I can save some cash I will. Trying to source out a guy that may want my 305 as a running motor, even if its for 150-250 bucks. I have a buddy buying my trans for 200 bucks + he powdercoated my wiper cowl. That and I may try and sell the rear to him for like 75 bucks. All that little money adds up!

I need to buy the intake next to mount the TB I have on it and see where I have to modify the alt. bracket to fit the TB perfectly. I can not wait!!!

Well intake has been bought and now just awaiting the sales of a few items from my truck. Currently I have my exhaust pending (175 bucks) and selling my old 33s off my silverado (200) so I will have about 1600 to put this motor back together from top to bottom. Hoping I can get the cam, lifters, pushrods, springs, head gaskets, oil pump and water pump for under 1000....Its a stretch but my pops will be able to get me some of the GM parts on discount.

Also was told by my parents that I should give them a few items i'd like to get for it. So with the help of them and my brother, I hope to get the converter. Than saving up for the 700 dollar headers ....Wish I still had items to sell from the truck....sadly I have the sub/amp and radiator still to sell. maybe 300-350 bucks for them. Heres some pointless pictures, lol

My favorite so far with all the parts and pictures for this swap so far

I did have a question regarding the 4l80, is there a shifter upgrade like the b&m slap shifter for these trans? I'd like to be able to bang through the gears pretending its a manual still lol.

Did the intake not come with injectors? If you were planning on reusing the truck ones, you may be limited right off the bat with a cam. Is it an LS3 or L76 intake? The MAP sensor is diff between them.

Are you doing the "standard" C5 filter-regulator and AN fuel lines ? You can flip the fuel rail 180deg depending on what side your stock fuel lines are on.

Hey, I was just at the bar with Gunnar last night and he told me you said I am going to blow my motor up....whats up with that?! lol. He was drinking though....lol

Intake did not come with injectors because my buddy already has a set for me so it was no big deal. Its a ls3 intake, I got it for a decent deal so I bit the bullet and pulled the trigger. As for the rails, I am not sure where the fuel lines come out to be honest, but I believe "The Merv'' on here flipped his rails, so they might be opposite than the camaros setup. And I believe we are going with the c5 filter-regulator and the AN lines. Looks like most of the Monte lsx swappers do that.

He also said you hate driving your camaro because its faster than the Vette, I didnt know if that was true or not, lol. I need to head over to see the car again since your driving it apparently before the weather turns for good with my monte.

I do want to ask about the c5 regulator, was there another option you were going to refer or just wondering what I was planning?

I was curious since you're on a tight budget, if you were
planning on alternate fuel connections.. You can easily
drop $200 on the C5 regulator and all the adapters and
AN hose+fittings.
