I posted on your thread on the other forum. As far as the manifolds go, 2wd and 4wd are the same on the TBSS and its variants. Basically if its a Trailblazer and it has a V8, it will have the manifolds you are looking for. you are correct, the truck manifolds are too wide at the rear, which makes them not a good candidate for a swap into a 67-72 truck. Usually when you find them, it will be a pair, so I'm not sure if a truck one will work on one side or not, but I do recall one side having more room than the other, but don't remember which, Thanks for the compliment, and there is a thread on the speedometer. i did most of a 67 turbo impala swap, but never got to see it finished.
it had a 2 piece driveshaft with carrier bearing.
i planned to get a 1 piece driveshaft from strange, but they said they couldnt make it because it was too long. like it could only handle 6000 rpms at that length.
i have a 69 c10 thats stripped bare, so i didnt even know if they have a 1 or 2 piece shaft. im thinking about what im going to do for the motor,(402?) but already have the 4l80e for it.

Any good drive shaft shop will run the numbers, length X rpm. Then tell you what is the safe length and diameter. On my 68 SWB C10 I had to go with a 3.5" drive shaft with my rev limiter set at 6200 rpm. Really safe to 6500 rpms.

I really like the way you reworked the engine mounts from the donor vehicle. I was able to get the mounts from the donor vehicle for my swap and I'd like to replicate what you've done. Any dimensions from bottom of plate to top of the half of the mount? Distance from front of plate to to front of lower half of mount? Any help's appreciated. I have a welder, grinder, etc. but thought if you have this info I wouldn't have to "Reinvent the wheel"

Sorry, but I don't have any measurements, and they're really hard to measure in the truck. But basically what I did was set the engine in the frame with some wood under the oil pan, leveled it side to side and then fabbed the mounts from there, just tacked the parts together then removed them and welded them solid.

Probably be a while before I do another truck. I used all my parts I had to build the yellow truck, so don't have anything to work with now and good short beds are getting hard to come by. I'm actually working on another Family Truckster at the moment since I had completely forgotten how difficult that was. LOL

Thanks! Not much new happening with it these days. Its got a little over 47k miles on it now, but still runs like a top. A little rustier, and the hydroboost has a profuse leak, but she'll still get you where you want to go. Lol!
Hit a milestone yesterday. I decided I needed some parts for another car, but they were not really close to me. Also, they were big enough that a truck would be required to haul them home. What the Hell, I thought. I have a free Saturday, why not hop in the old Trusty Rusty and make a day of it? Well, the day started out really early, like 3AM early! My destination was Troy Ohio and i wanted to get there, get the parts and get back. Google maps said it was right at 600 miles each way, and should take 9 hours. So, I got up at 3AM on Saturday, was on the road by 3:15... At 6:30 I had already gotten gas in St Louis, a Quiktrip breakfast and was crossing the mighty Mississippi.
By 8:30 I was well into Illinois, where their idea of road repair is just putting up signs to let you know just how bad the road is rather than fixing them apparently. I hit one of these spots on the way back and it really threw the truck around, not fun...
At a few minutes before 9AM i was at the Indiana border. Not much to say about Indiana other than all of I-70 in the state is a construction zone, and the speed limit is 55. But, most people just did the normal 70, so I just rolled with them!
About a half hour into Indiana is where the milestone took place. The cruise control was set at about 77mph, basically the speed traffic was moving. Hit the 50k mile mark!
11:35am, made it to Ohio! The sign says "Find it here", well I guess that is where I found my parts! LOL
I rolled into Troy Ohio and was at the guy's house at just about 12:15, almost 9 hours on the dot. Chatted a bit, then loaded up the truck. Some of you may know what the parts are actually for I would think?
Had a quick lunch at Skyline Chili and hit the road by 1:30.
At 2:15 I was leaving Ohio... You can see the orange barrels that let you know you're entering the never ending construction zone that is Indiana!
The rest of the trip was just boring driving. Hit some rain, which I hate driving in because I don't like to use the cruise control in the rain, but it eventually stopped and I kept trucking on. Made it home at 10:30PM. I had driven 1204 miles in one day and averaged 18mpg for the trip, which is only 1mpg better than I usually get around town, but I suspect the 77mph I drove most of the time had something to do with it. Wasn't a bad trip, but don't want to do it again anytime soon! But at least it shows I actually drive my swaps I guess!

Thanks guys! I build them to drive, but never really intended this one to be a cross country driver. LOL I've always told people I wouldn't be afraid to jump in it and drive to California though.

Since about April of 2013. I don't drive it everyday, I have other cars but when I need to haul something, its always ready. My '33 has 115k on it, it's basically my daily in the summer.
