Glad you got it sorted out, but you might get your ears checked now if running your engine near redline sounded like a 3000 RPM cruising speed. Ha ha ha

so what your saying the problem was is that it was actually 6000 rpm but your tach said 3000 rpm?

i am having a simular problem here after my swap although my tach is set to 4 cyl mode and is working great i have a ls3 out of a camaro 2010 same ecu and tune as it had in camaro but now its in my 85 buick regal and runs very nice but now my rev limit is 5000 rpm when before it was set to 6200-6800 whatever the stock 2010 ls3 was set at anyways. so my question is there something that going from a manual trans to a gm auto non computerized trans that changes something that the ecu sees making it limit out so early???? i know my rpm sound and its not hitting 6000 or even close so....

How do you mistake 6000rpm for 3000rpm? The different in sound is incredible.

haha ya i wasnt gonna say anything but..... haha
so ive been told there is a speed sensor that has to see at least 14.9 mph in the ecu and if it doesnt it limits the rpm to 5000 so we have to change it in the tune ill re-post if she works!!!
