Hey thanks guys I'm super excited!
Got the motor in last night! Waiting on lifters and head gaskets to throw the rest of it together!

Nice! I just read through this entire thread. I'm going to save this thread for if I do end up going with the swap for my 2001. To make life easier if you ever want to swap out a cam do you think that you would be able to take out the grille, radiator, and fan to put the cam in that way instead of taking out the engine? It seems like the right angle from the vid.

Well ya I guess so. It fits in there tightly with front cover on so with it off should be no problems.

Alright guys sorry it took so long! I'm getting my new set up tuned Friday so wish me luck. I now have an ls2 with 243 heads. PRC dual springs. Btr push rods. Ls7 lifters. All new bearing with total seal rings. Ss top ring. 238/240 comp cam. Ls6 intake. Holly fuel rails. 42lb injectors. And a monster stage 3 clutch. Katech rod bolts. Somewhat cleaned up my engine bay and re wrapped my whole working harness. I now have a gt body kit and ditched the saleen stuff. 245/40/18 up front and 285/40/18 in the back nitto 555s. I will be posting pics and bids soon!

cars coming along. should have tried to ****** up an 01 cobra bumper, those things look great and arent as over played as the termi bumpers (not that they are bad looking). keep us posted once shes tuned!

I wouldn't use the ls1 unless you already have it. Its a great engine for sure but id get an LS3 or 5.3 Vortec and turbo

Ya its done man lol! Ran a 12.9 at 110 crossing the line on limiter pretty much in 3rd. I have a 373 but a 410 is going in this week.
