At least it was a lsj you pulled out. How are the folks on css treating you for the swap?

Very sweet. I like it. You live in Canada? Is there emissions testing there?

Sure is, but you can test as a hot rod. We shall see what happens.

Very cool. There is a full tube chassis Cobalt LSx build somewhere out there on the net, but the builder stopped posting progress and I never saw the finished product. It looks like you're retaining more of the original car which will make it a very cool swap. I think my '07 Cobalt LTZ runs an E38 computer. If you've got the same on the GTO LS2 (dunno what ECM they ran?) things may integrate very nicely with the original Cobalt electronics/gauges/accelerator pedal/etc. Heck you might even be able to flash a different OS on your Cobalt ECM and make it run.

Yea that full tube chassis cobalt guy was going all out VictoryRedSS I believe was his name on CSS.net. As for the computer, theres a couple more modules on the GTO than there is on the GTO.. I'm going to just swap the whole harness and tap into the headlights and such in the cobalt. Also the GTO Dash cluster fits nicely in the Cobalt Dash, so I'm going to fab that up as well

I like that idea even better. The Cobalt gauges are ok but nothing fancy. I think the GTO gauges will look great.
