Basically the back tubes on the lower control arms bulge out farther than stock so when I would turn the tie rods would actually rub on the control arm.

Do you notice any decrease in turning radius with the Unisteer?
Also, do you see anywhere it interferes with the ls block? I've heard a couple issues with it, but have been heavily considering it.

I didn't notice any decrease in turning radius.

I can tell you where the fluid lines connect to the rack clearance around the block is very tight. I had to cut off a random square that stuck out a bit and didn't seem to do anything near the oil pan that was in the way. Obviously every situation will be different with different motor mounts.

If you are going to do a rack & pinion setup the Unisteer setup would be the way to go. I tried a kit from eBay but ended up returning it because it fit like garbage.

Well after 4 years this build is going to be changing to a built 408.

I finished off last year with a personal best of 9.2 @149.

Another PSJ micro update.

My buddy Eddie V in Mt. Prospect is all done, he sized my track locator, welded the threaded insert, set up the back, and did a few other little things while he was under there. Ready for pick up:
