Default Lokar Throttle cable end and Nick Williams TB

Hey there, I have searched and searched and haven't found a solution to my problem. I then emailed lokar for a solution and they want very precise caliper measurements and I don't have the tools to do that.

Here is my issue. I have the Lokar LS throttle cable and the Nick Williams TB. The cable end does not seat properly in the hole in the throttle body accelerator bracket. I emailed Nick Williams two different times for a suggestion and haven't heard a word.

I've attached a pic so you can see what I'm talking about...

Anyone use this setup? Anyone found a solution?

File or machine the flats off of the Lokar cable fitting so it will seat in the hole in the throttle plate. As long as the Lokar cable is properly anchored in the fitting, the fitting can't get out of the throttle plate.

Nothing different about the bottom hole, the difference is in the thickness of the throttle bracket, the NWTB has a thicker bracket.

Only fix is to have a custom brass piece machined up that's longer.

Do i need to get the mounting bracket from lokar with this setup? 100 plus total seems ridiculous for a tb cable dont you think?

I ended up making my own cable stop on a lathe we have at work. Goes through both sides of the tb and centers the cable, works perfect!

Nice job on it too. It's little details like this that separate the nice builds from the really nice builds.

Thanks a lot! Sometimes I hate myself for doing stuff like that but in the end it pays off.

Does anyone know if a bigger fitting is now available to work with the thicker TB blade? I'd really rather not have to find someone willing to make me a small, single fitting like the one above as I'm sure it's not really worth their time.
