Default is exhaust too big?

Chevette had a big block with new 3 inch exhaust.
changing to 5.3 LS engine with 4L60e.
Exhaust has 3 inch mufflers and rear pipes.
5.3 will have stock Camaro exhaust manifolds.
CAN I USE THE 3 inch MUFFLERS AND REAR PIPES?
will that setup destroy the low end torque?

no problems at all with that...
I ran a 4" on my 346 cam only with no issues...made more power everywhere over a 3"

I think the manifolds will restrict the flow enough to keep it happy.
you can not have a exhaust too big..unless you drive a honda with a fart can!
I read in phr mag ( I think) back pressure was a myth..busted.

Honda with fart can!

I rather drive a Prius, which is blasphemy to most guys!

But fart cars should be ticketed for obscenity!
