Default Water Pump - AN heater hose connection

Looking at how close the heater hoses run to the control arms of my 69 camaro with an LS2. I track the car so I'm concerned about the hoses rubbing..
I have seen it mentioned about running AN fittings. Curious if anyone here has done it and any recommendations.
90 degree fitting with NPT threads and straight on hose vs. straight fitting with NPT threads and 90 degree hose fitting. Flow difference between the two.
Thanks for any input.

Pull hose barbs, tap with 1/2 & 3/8 NPT taps, install pipe to AN adapters.

I remove the hose nipples, tap the ports and put NPT plugs in their place.

Flow differences, to a heater core? Dont know why anyone would care.
Just remove the fittings, tap for NPT as mentioned above. Pretty common on some swaps.

Those won't (both) fit due to installation interference, but you can get them with a swivel, just more $$$.

Dam thats what i was thinking . Not so worried about the extra money ( this project is on big money pit lol like everyone elses ) but the swivel 90s arent as tight as the other style . I need as much clearance as i can get . when i built my turbo headers i didnt account for the heater hoses . Ill have enough room but just want them as far away from the header as i can keep them

The other C3 corvette guys like me have the same issue. I went for the male to female 90 degree fittings in the pic because they were the shortest. I've seen others drill, tap about 45 degrees above the existing ports. Mine were the shortest solution I could find using the existing holes.
