Default what tuner do i need for swaps

i am goint to convert all my old cars to ls swaps none will have same motor-trans combo what tuner do i need and what version/options i realy know nothing about tuning so all will be stock tunes might play with tuning once i get a good understanding of it also what do i do for the vin number use the vin that the swap comes from or do i use the same vin for all swaps then change stuff?

VIN will be flashed to the PCM. Your scanner will automatically read it and assign credits to it when you buy a license.

Read, read, and read some more. HPT and EFI Live are the most popular setups. It comes down to personal preference. Either will be able to handle VATS deletes and the little stuff you need to get a stock swap up and running.

So how much is credits/liscense cost per vehicle

I have HPT. It came with 8 credits. Generally its 2 credits per vehicle. More credits are 50 each. If you buy a bunch of the same engine, you may be able to get away with a single year credit or something to save money.

Look on their website, there is a chart of how many credits everything costs.
