Thumbs up 93 Cobra Clone 6.0 408 Stroker, 4l80e, S480R Turbo Build. IT LIVES!! video

EDIT 2-17-14 Last page for video

Updated list and parts Also found out my LQ4 was total **** that I got so I decided to put a 408 Stroker inside my 6.0 block.

Well figured id start my build thread.. going to be a while before the car is done but everyday i work on it from here on out im going to put a update.

So I got this car last year with a 408w, and built Gforce trans. I had to complete the cobra look by getting a few items. I wanted a real cobra but i figured why get a real one pay 10K and chop it up. Instead pay 5K and sell all the parts for 5K This car is supposed to be my hotrod that i can cruise 200 miles and go to track with.

Ive been collecting parts for over a year now and here is what i have so far

S480R turbo
6.0 Iron block
truck manifolds
317 Heads w/ valve job
408 Stroker with Scat rods, eagle crank, still getting the details from my engine builder. 9:2:1 compression
Vic Jr manifold with rails
Low profile elbow
90MM wilson TB
EV6 95# injectors
Aeromotive eliminator pump
Comp Cam
ls2 timing chain
trickflow pushrods
ls7 lifters
patriot gold springs
Melling oil pump
Harland Sharp 1.7 rockers
50MM Tial BOV
Precision 46MM Wastegate
Snow stage 2 meth kit w/progressive controller
AEM wideband
AEM TruBoost controller
Unknown 3" inlet 4" thick intercooler
Circle D Multidisk converter with flexplate

I have a built 4l80e on the way hopefully have it in the next week or 2. Full manual with trans brake. (still waiting on my trans)

Mustang parts-
Moser 31 spline axles with c clip eliminators
Moser Wavetrac diff
Moser yoke
Moser Diff cover
AJE K member with A arms
Strange front coil struts (adjustable) w/200lb springs
rear strange shocks (adjustable) and coilovers in stock location 175lb springs
TeamZ street beast rear kit with anti roll bar
03-04 Cobra brakes for front and rear w/sn95 spindles
93 cobra master cylinder
flaming river rack (manual) and UPR bump steer kit

Things to get-

turbo piping
PSI harness with computer
shifter for 4l80e
gauges
driveshaft
Wheels, i have 5 lug PonyRs on order that are 17X10 in rear and 17X6.5 i think in front. But after i get them i am going to get the fronts narrowed to 17X5

Here are some of the engine parts with the old turbo, these were going to go in a WS6 as you can see the 98 gas tank

So here is the progress so far..

Not much to update, but my qa1 coilovers did not work with sn95 spindles so i sold them to my buddy and got some strange adjustables.. Learned that the drivers side cobra calipers take bigger bolts then the passenger ... WTF so i had to go buy bolts to fit it, then had to make the spindle holes bigger for the bigger bolts... and thats a real bitch just using small drill bits. Sooooo next step is to get my flaming river rack and get the rear parts.. My goal is to get this thing to be a roller then start the engine trans stuff.

Well well well... lets say my motor plans have changed. It looks like im getting a 408 stroker ... Ill have details soon.. Motor is at shop and the block was shitty and the crank was shitty so i said what the hell and told him to get me eagle crank. So in about 2 weeks ill have my 408 stroker boost motor Also in 2 weeks i should have my built trans and circle D multi disk converter. Tomorrow my Moser parts should be here. Wavetrac diff, 31 spline axles, c clip eliminators.

But this showed up yesterday

3" mandrel bend exhaust tail pipes ..

Flaming river rack showed up today

After some customizing, had to chop off the tubes they had on the aje K member. They were to big to go through the new flaming river bushings. So i chopped them off and ran some grade 8 bolts.

Very similar to my build but with an extra 83 CI have you been hearing good things about the wavetrac? That is the one part about my build I am still unsure about. I have been back and forth between a locker and a spool. Also what are you doing to eliminate the c-clips and retain rear disc brakes?

Sarg, not much info on wavetrac but moser told me i break it they will send me a new one so thats all i need to hear. This is a street car so i absolutely dont want to spool it. I talked to a tech at race proven motorsports and he said they have put a few in some high HP cars no issues. I got the "03 cobra" wavetrac it has no c clip slots. Im running 31 spline axles with moser c clip eliminators. I got the moser axles that are meant for disk brakes. To run the disk brakes and retain proper offset I did this. Or should say im in the middle of doing it.
