If I run the transgo shift kit would the transmission still need the pcm to run correctly?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I printed it up last year, used it as my guide, and stopped mid project. Getting back into the project, finding where I left off, going over what I completed, and I think I may have identified a mistake...

Isn't the Yellow/blk wire on the factory CPS plug the Sensor Ground?
Shouldn't VR1+ be wired to Dark Blue/Wht?

If so, I need to swap them.

Sensor ground is the middle pin (black). Iirc yellow is the signal color on factory truck CAS and should be on the top most pin. Some people use a MAF plug from a blazer and color may be different.

I just did a harness last night. Appears different year models have different color. The particular donor harness I used has colors as you described.

Pretty sure I hooked them up backward. No problem to switch them though. Just thought mentioning it may help someone avoid this mistake and the frustration of a no start condition in the future. Glad I caught it now.

Mine was out of a 1999 Silverado.

This is helpful, no matter what color they are.
