S2000 Build - LS1 - T56 - 8.8 - Turbo
This is the life of my 2000 S2000.
I bought the car in early 2012, it was completely stock and begging to be modded. I had always planned to swap the motor out for an LS1 but at first I was enjoying the stock Honda motor. I started to do a few cheap upgrades, Intake and Exhaust. The car was still very slow and now obnoxiously loud, until it all went silent when I missed a gear one sunday afternoon. Pics of the aftermath are worthless since the block and head became a pile of scrap aluminum shavings.
Below are some pictures of the first few days of ownership and then one of how it looked the day before tearing it apart.

The motor is a stock 00 LS1 with a built T56 attatched to it. The engine bay has 100+ hours of work into it for anyone wondering how it became so smooth compared to factory.

After installing the motor I decided to focus on a few other areas of the car I wanted to upgrade. Safety was my main concern since I removed the soft top and factory roll hoops so I installed a cage. I also ordered Corbeau seats and RJS harness's while I was at it. A quick release steering wheel setup from NRG will make it easier to get in and out of this tiny car. I also wanted to focus on the fuel system and battery relocation.
The old fuel tank came up through the floor behind the seats, I removed the large hump and made the floor all level.

The cold winter kept me from working on the car so I started building a gauge cluster inside the house and ordering turbo parts.
Precision 6766 Ball Bearing
Gauge Cluster is not finished but here is a general idea of how it will look.
