Default Anyone Cut trunk for access panel to in-tank fuel pump? If so, Please post pictures.

Just like the title says. I installed the Vetteworks kit into my fuel tank to allow for the 99-02 fuel pump assembly and I want to put an access panel into the car so I can remove the fuel pump assembly and replace the fuel pump without having to drop my fuel tank. Does anyone have a good setup with pictures? I am looking for some ideas to make for a clean looking install.

Thanks,
Ryan

That looks great, you can barely see it. Do you have any pictures with it removed?

I used 1/4" foam so that it seals to the ridges in the floor. Have not needed to open it up yet but it is there.

I have a spare fp we carry with us when on power tour.

My stinking Kia has an access panel right under the back seat.

Seems like it would be easy to hit a yard and grab one to adapt to a different car. Most econoboxes have them anymore.

I know that most of the newer cars have them. I may just end up going to a pick a part and find a suitable car that has an access panel. I was looking at a Subaru that had a nice sized access panel. I was hoping to find one with a rubber grommet for the oem feel.

Adding my Chevelle access, to stiffen the floor, I made a frame on the under side.. with U-Nut, attached it to the floor and then screwed another Frame to hold the panel in place and stiffen up the floor. Not the most the greatest looking job. .but it is covered up anyway. Used some old rubber inner tubes cut up and made a gasket.
