Alternator relocation confusion???
Hi I'm finally on the right track as far as the belt goes on my a-body project but the guy i got my alternator relocation bracket from didn't know how to use it. Pretty sure it goes behind the alternator like in this picture? Where does the slotted hole bolt to? Any help would be very appreciated!

That bracket is sold on ebay, item 250890169010. It looks like a very poor setup. Why don't you use an LS1 or GTO bracket for that location? What offset are you going with: Corvette, LS1 or truck? You can space it out 3/4" if going with truck offset. Aluminum block or iron?
Seeing you are putting it into a Chevelle you will still have steering box issues. What intake will you be using. EFI or carb intake?

Yeah it's 1/2" thick so probably not a good setup especially since I'm going for a high passenger side mount, f-body offset. Thats really dumb if it goes in the stock location just sticks out further. Oh and factory ls1 intake Fox, thanks for the help

Here's a little something i've done as an alternator relocation. It does require a custom tensioner though and it only works with the truck offset. You can swap the LS1 waterpump pulley and truck damper.

I appreciate your help, looks like you did a lot of work with those different configurations! I might have to bite the bullet and spend +$100 on a different bracket though since I just put a camaro balancer on

You could use the corvette bracket spaced out for the camaro offset. Holley sells the same one and you can get the adapter kit for a total bot on. Or one of the other cantilevered brackets from kwik. Because of the tighter spacing you can't put it in front of the passenger side head.
