Default just fired my 66 vette...ls1/2004r

After too many years, I finally made some time for my vette. Its a 66. Its got a heads cam 346, ls6 intake (395 rwhp in a 6 speed car previously) I hooked it to a buick gn 2004r with a precision convertor. Ive always liked the 200...in my gn's and the not so low first gear and the bigger od than 700's(4l60's). Camaro headers fit, as did the vette batwing pan. I used ssp wiring (again) and it took maybe 4 minutes to fire it up, after I relized I didnt choose the correct circuit to power the pcm. Fired up...and set into an idle in maybe 20 seconds.

It was a good day.

Nothing really, it bolts right up, just need the right convertor nose. Since I wanted a new stall I just ordered it for an ls to 200, but I ve done many a th400 with the sbc th400 convertor....all you need for those is three washers and a welder if you want to do a nice job. I ve also extended the nose on an oem convertor.

The biggest issue is that you could be tricked into thinking your ds will be ok...but if its a swap from a sbc/bbc the ds may come up short, about 1.5 inches due to the flange lenght on the back of the block, and motor placement.

Sorry I had my hands full, with the light, and checking for leaks, etc...so Ill do a video in a couple days of it going up and down the street.
