THIS. If it's carb, you'll have to add a power/ground for the fuel pump. Use the Grand Prix Sender unit for the Fuel Gauge, and trim the filler neck. as for lines use the stock 4th gen lines up to the "T" right before the fuel filter, then use a regulator up front right at the carb. Otherwise just get yourself another 3rd gen tank. I've got a couple 3rd gen tanks but they were both from TPI cars.

I used the stock 4th gen fuel pump and stock in-tank 4th gen regulator for my swap. I went EFI with mine.

They were asking if the original engine was carb or EFI. Carb cars won't have wiring for a fuel pump since they used a mechanical pump. You will have to add your own wiring if this is the case.

Either way, you will need a regulator capable of dropping the supplied 60ish psi down to the <10 suitable for a carb.

The LS1 pump should be returnless, so you will need to add a return port to the tank. I think you can use the EVAP port for this.

In a 3rd gen tank or did you swap to a 4th gen? I would like to use the plastic 4th gen tank, I have had issues with filler necks before on 3rd gen tanks.

I would use the 4th gen tank, and run a regulator up front and just run a feed and return line back to the tank.

ok guys all your help is great, you all helped me so much! but I got another few questions, I set the tank into position and I want to mate my original third gen gas lines to the existing LS1 fuel tank plastic hose! I think all I have to do is flare the line to fit? do you guys recommend it? also do you know what AN fittings I would need to go on the gas line in the engine bay to mount to a regulator? her are my fittings ls1 gas tank swap-2013-06-10-21.33.32.jpg will AN fittings fit that?
