Default Porsche 996 LS1 conversion - pretty much done!

So I thought I would share a few pictures of the finished (for the most part) car and conversion.

The car runs great and is so much fun to drive!

Here's what I started with:

Here's how the car looks now - you can see the exhaust tips that I made, they are basic but I think they look pretty good

lol, sorry man - I had a bunch of vacation that I had to take so I was able to hammer away at it pretty fast. Wouldn't have done it if I hadn't seen your thread so my hats off to you!

I'm going to try and hook up the intake to the factory fresh air port on the engine lid if possible. So I will probably try and find a filter box that I can mount in the right rear corner and then tie it all together. IATs have been around 95 degrees at operating temps on a cool day, so I'd like to improve that.

I like it. I have a 1983-944 that I ordered in 1983 which has only 2200 miles on it. I have been thinking about a LS7 swap.

looking at these pics and the others you posted in the other thread , i noticed that your engine sits lower; how did you manage to do that without cutting into the stock suspension crossmember?

I fabbed up a new cross member that has an offset to accomodate the nearly 2 inch thick bellhousing adaptor. There was no way I could mount the trans in the stock location, I tried though
