Default Intake Manifold Difference?

Just bought a truck intake from an earlier 5.3L, this has an EGR port, swapping this unit in place of DBW manifold so I can run my K case 700R.

Question is, is there any performance/economy differences between the EGR ported intake and newer (DBW) non-ported intake? If there is, what (aside from EGR port plug) can I do to utilize this unit?

Got the intake complete with rails & injectors and 411 computer for $100

TIA,
Mark

Don't think there are any performance gains or losses with that intake. They make a plug to cap the hole off that's only a couple of bucks at the dealer.

Should be the same intake with a hole in it. My old LS1 intake had a rubber expansion plug from the hardware store in its EGR port when I bought it. Ran it for years like that.
