shifter question 70 camaro ls2 with 4l60e

Default shifter question 70 camaro ls2 with 4l60e

will my existing stock shifter work with the combo im about to drop into my camaro. had a 700r4 going with 4l60e, also will my existing crossmember work?

I had a 350/700r4 combo in my 77 before, when i put my 5.3/4l60e in i had to move the crossmember back a few inches and also had to cut the mount and locate it lower on the crossmember so my drive shaft/tail shaft had good clearance.

IIRC the mount point on the 4l60e is further back than the 700r4

The rear isolator mounting pad is located in the case on a 700R4 just behind the pan and was relocated to the extension housing in the design of the
4L60/4L65/4L70/4L75 transmissions, so they are not the same.
