Default 1-7/8 headers in 64-67 chevelle?

I've got the 1-3/4" 4th gen pacesetters in the car now (have to massage one tube) and would like to jump to 1-7/8 primaries. Anybody having luck with particular swap headers in this size or headers from another application in early gen Chevelle? I tried Kooks 4th gen f-body, they didn't fit at all, and I tried Hawks by Stainless Works for 3rd gen f-body LS swap which fit well on driver side but not at all on passenger. The TSP 1-7/8 are similar layout as the Pacesetter 1-3/4 (couple primary paths switched, but not a major configuration change), but I haven't found any locally to test fit. I see a few brands making 68-72 swap headers in 1-7/8, but haven't found 64-67..

Motor is in "stock" location (bellhousing flange in OE SBC plane).

Any info would help.

Hey TJ,

Doesn't Holley make some? I have the Edelbrock headers that are stepped but they stopped making them...

Hey Andrew, the Holley chevelle swap headers are 1.75. Been thinking about trying their non emissions 98-02 Camaro 1.875 since they look a lot like their Chevelle swap units, or maybe even their 74-81 f-body 1.875. Seeing if anyone has tried anything else.. I would have done the edelbrock stepped based on your favorable review of them, but as you said, they quit making them.. May end up fabbing my own, but I'm lazy/like production solutions. :-)

most aftermarket companies have a hard enough time getiing 1 3/4" headers to fit, dont know how 1 7/8" headers would work out
