Haven't personally touched a 98 0r 99 gauge cluster to know their specifics. But first off ,if the wiring plugged in just right I'd start diagnosing absolute basics like is it getting proper 12 volt power(fuse??) & has proper ground.

I,d seriously doubt that between a 98 & 99 year there would be enough differences if any to make EVERYTHING not work. Tach could read differently if not both a v-8 unit, but fuel , volts, speedo, etc shouldn't differ.

You gave no detail, so this is the best starting point I can give you.

Need more specifics. Did you swap the dash harness too? If you are swapping harnesses with that setup you have to swap all the interior wiring and the cluster to 99+.

The easiest way to accomplish what you are doing is to repin the 98 harness or have someone repin it for you.

We offer the repin service, will look better than stock when finished.

Please give more specifics on all the parts you used and what you swapped.
