Like I said, I am running the th350 and its already bolted up, but the power steering pulley is hitting the power steering box.
Should I use mounts that relocate the engine or just get a smaller pulley?

The fore/aft positioning of the UMI mounts is obviously sufficient to allow you to install your TH350 behind your LS engine, but there's no data available that would tell me if they are able to provide you with an engine height that will allow you to take full advantage of the clearance geometry offered by the Holley 302-2 pan.

The ability to do so will become apparent to you once get to the point of trying to optimize your U-joint working angles. Both sets of the new Hooker A-body engine brackets were specifically designed to utilize the clearance provided by the 302-2 pan to drop the front of the engine as low in the chassis as possible; there are no other brand/type of mounting brackets on the market that provide the same advantage.

If you'd like more information, I invite you to check-in and post your questions in the Hooker 1968-72 A-body LS swap thread so we can eliminate further hijacking of the OP's thread here.

[QUOTE=Anythinggm;17468008]Well guys my Skylark has been in the family since new. My grandfather bought it just a few months before I was born. The 350 is tired, so I've opted to bring it up to modern power and better MPG. bought a 05 5.3L/4L60E out of a truck and will be performing my first LS swap into the car. I look forward to learning a lot from you guys during this build, and I hope you enjoy mine. Here is a pic of my car and the donor engine.

I am well into my '70 Skylark restomod and am wondering what did you do for gauges? Did you change out the dash or is there a conversion kit out there to go from mechanical gauges to electonic?

Well. A man can hope, right?
I was able to glean a lot of very useful information from this thread so I was hoping he'd still be around to answer my question.
