i recently purchased a ls2 short block. i have ported 317's and a ls6 intake manifold. the ls2 valley cover has an extra nipple in the back that the ls1 didnt have. with the ls6 intake manifold fit with that plug fitting? and what is it for?

I've got a LS6 intake on my TBSS(LS2) shortblock. It's a close fit, but is ok. I haven't started it yet and don't see any issues.

thanks. do you know what that threaded plug on the back of the valley cover is for? it wasnt there on my ls1

Sure don't. It's not used with my PSI harness though. It has a sensor in it though.

it wouldnt be surprising if you have to do a little "modding" to get it to fit right. You have to cut off a piece from the ls1 block to get the ls6 valley covers to fit on them.

LS2 Block comes Factory with this Cover...Gen IV Engine.
