Default Corvett fuel regulator

Ordered a Delco corvette fuel regulator/filter and received one in a Delco box. When I looked closely I noticed it was really a Wix, not a Delco. Anyone ever had this happen? Also, anyone know much about the Wix? All I know is that I paid over $60 for the Delco and the same dealer sells the Wix for under $35. Not sure whether to return for full refund or keep the Wix and get the difference refunded.

Same exact filter, return it and buy the Wix. You will find that Wix is marked out in sharpie on the body of the Delco filter.

Did you buy online or from a local parts store... I would question who sold it to you...

Ordered on line from a well known parts place. They told me that they spoke with Delco and were told that somehow it was put in the wrong box. Hmmm. not sure how that could have happened. Going to return the filter for a full refund and shop around for another. Do you happen to know if the Delco gf822 is even available or is it being replace by the Wix 37337? If so, is the Wix a good unit, it sells for half the price of the Delco. I plan to call a number I have for Delco tomorrow and see what I can find out.

You are exactly correct, the number 37337 was there but Wix was marked out with a sharpie. Sounds like Delco is using the Wix in place of it's own unit and selling them at twice the price.

Most filters are made by Fram, Purolator, or Wix and rebranded.

NAPA filters are all made by WIX as well.

Oriellys sells a Microgard same part # 37337 for $19.99 from the pic it appears to be very similar to the Wix. I don't know if the Microgard is any good, but it has a 1year warranty just like the Delco and the Wix. I think Puralator makes filters for the label Microgard. Ive done a search and come up with nothing.

A word of caution, I've seen Oreilly's house brand filters have bad regulators right out of the box. I would spend a little more and get a Wix.
