Lets not get into the cost. lets just say it was a surprise....

The work quality is definitely top notch. Alvin and Kelly were right on about that!

I ditched the stock hood years ago. First post shows I have a ram air 1 hood which has about a 2.25" cowl if I remember right

I'd consider installing a heat sleeve, or some other type of thermal barrier on the intake tube to help keep a more consistent and lower incoming air temperature when the engine is up to full operating temperature.

top notch build so far! All the fab work looks really good and I like the "stealth" mode on the exhaust!

hmm...noone ever mentioned a heat sleeve on the intake. I've never even seen anyone else do that unless its a turbo car

I only mentioned it because it's rather long section of metallic tubing that subject to under hood heat. I figured it would be worth investigating further.

Fabricator is done with my car and its going to the tuner today! Here are some more pics I got

-4thgen washer bottle is between the headlights now
-next to radiator cap is a silver overflow cylinder
-far left is the supercharger overflow
-CAI will be removed and powdercoated black to match everything else

Here you get another view of the engine bay...its a little more completed now

After my car is done, it goes to the body shop for some touch up under the hood and it will be finished.

I'm going to see the fabricator thursday and settle with him, and go to the tuner to see my car.

Wow...that turned out nice! I'm sure that work was well worth the money. Once you get your powder coating done...your under hood will really look badass!!

Now your off to the tuner...what kind of numbers are you hoping for?

they initially were hoping for 600-650 rwhp.

Another tuner says 550.

Either way its a great deal more than the 370 I had

Went to see my car today. Fabricator ended up raping me for $4300 in the end. Traded him a T56 I had towards the bill so its not TOO bad but damnit I wish he told me how much it was going to cost. Between RPM transmissions quote going from $350 to $3000, and this magic fabrication bill of $4300 I'm WAY overbudget....but I think the car is in the home stretch.

So, on to the good news. The work looks amazing and couldn’t be better. I’ve taken some pics:

Aftercooler for the supercharger

Passenger front fender. This is where the cold air intake starts, and you can see the supercharger coolant pump. This will all be covered by a plastic valence

Crossmember is complete, painted, and installed with a new mount

Custom driveshaft loop

Fuel pump relays

IMO, Looks good, but I'd have your fabricator integrate the TA mount into the transmission mount so you can get the TA off the tail shaft. That way you can avoid any possibility of cracking the trans tail shaft housing in the near future.

I did. The crossmember is the same with an LSx but where I had trouble was getting the massive 4" exhaust around the spohn crossmember. The old crossmember was the lowest point on the car and would drag everywhere but there was nothing I could do about it...its how it was designed. This new crossmember is much tighter fitting and the lowest part of the car is a tiny section of the over the axle pipe where it goes from oval to round tubing. I don't think a stock thirdgen at stock height would have as much clearance as I do now.

Beautiful car. It is SO hard to find clean 3rd gens. I love the firehawk/Ronal wheels.

It looks like you had a nice SBC. Before i swapped to a LS i looked into putting a LT1 intake on my Nova like you had. Alot more work than i would have thought.

Thank you sir. I enjoyed the SBC and it ran amazingly strong. I just got bit by the horsepower bug, but this one is much more expensive than the last,
