IMO, just keep in mind that having the front of the TA mounted to the trans tail housing is a week link, especially with the power you're making. I don't really don't think your transmission cross-member would need any major modification, just some additional metal 3/16" to 1/4" plate welded to it with a few gussets.
Anyway great build, I just don't want to hear later you've cracked the trans tail housing. Have a Merry Xmas !

I took the car out yesterday. It was 55* and sunny here in VA...perfect winter day for a cruise! We went to Roanoke, about 45 minutes away, to a monthy club dinner.

The car performed wonderful! Alvin really did a good job with the tune. As he puts it "it drives like a baby" no bucking, jerking, surging....just nice smooth power.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear are useless right now. I really need warm weather and more importantly, a good tire. Looking into some weld rt-s wheels with a 15x10 out back. I still haven't been able to do a WOT run....seriously there is no traction. I can ease in to it in 4th gear, but the axle hops around until about 70mph My wife made me do it though...she was bugging the hell out of me to see how fast it is now lol she's a keeper!

My check engine light came on. One code for a MAF sensor voltage, and one for a clutch switch circuit. I'm pretty sure that both of them should have been turned off in the tune. Waiting to hear from Alvin on how to proceed...probably just have to send my PCM in to get it taken care of.

Overall, very happy. The new exhaust sounds amazing, too!

Did an almost WOT run today, in 4th gear lol The NT05 tires I bought are horrible. I rolled into 4th because the car wanted to skate out a little in the back

So, nice weather is here now. Latest purchase for my car was a set of 18" weld RT-S wheels from Bruce at Hawks Thirdgen in South Carolina. Here are some teasers:

They are 18x9 in the front with Nitto tires, and 18x10 in the rear with new Mickey Thompson ET Streets. And let me tell you....those Mickeys HOOK! I can now get on it in 1st gear without spinning into a ditch. Im sure with a good burnout they would hook just fine Oh, and nevermind the centercaps on the front. I was waiting for the longer center caps to arrive so they would clear my front hubs.

What do you think?

nice swap, put a cog drive on it and you'll love the sound plus 30-40 hp increase will wake it up some more. I loved mine on my g8t and it really responded to the extra boost. Best 400.00 bucks for the bang. Nice job, its a really cool car.

Beautiful car and nice build.

Probably would have went with 15's in the rear though if you wanted some real traction.

What bellhousing/blow shield is that? was there any mods that needed to be done to that to get it to fit in the car? Also, is that an LS t56 or did you re-use the t56 you used with the SBC?

Lakewood bellhousing, required extensive trimming on the driver side to clear the exhaust. Its an LT1 T56 rebuilt by RPM Transmissions and had all the essential parts switched to LS style. I run an LS clutch now.
