Default Lsxfox what operating temps are normal for this set up?

As asked what's normal operating temps for a 5.3 in a foxbody with a 4l60e trans?

I do have a trans cooler installed after the radiator. And stock converter.
Car is also turbo'd, runs between 180-195 normal and my trans runs as hot as 180*

I have the temp sensor threaded into the pressure port on the trans. Trans is a fully built trans with stock trans pan. What is normal operating temp for a trans like this and what is too hot?

Summary- turbo lsxfox with built trans what's normal operating temps on 5.3 and built trans, also what is overheating temps for both?

Not sure on the transmission, but my 5.3 likes to sit just over 200 at idle. It drops to ~185 at cruise. Heads/Cam, stock bottom end, stock thermostat. It sees 7000 RPM daily at those temps.

My engine is not in a Mustang.

I am seeing about the same as you. I have a turbo 6.0L with a turbo blanket and the hot-side is wrapped. I run a 28x19 dual pass with a Volvo fan and 185* stat. Built glide with a deep alum pan and a cooler in the rear with a fan. No concerns with the temps on the street. At the end of a pass, coolant jumps up to about 200* and trans to 180+ but they start coming right back down on the way to the pits. This, of course, is in the FL heat.

I have a turbo blanket and wrapped 3" down pipe. I'm using dirtydingo water pump spacers and the temp sensor is placed on the return side of the water spacer. I have a 180 thermostat but still runs between 180-195 never see's 200 temp unless I'm beating on it.

My trans I have the temp sensor threaded into the pressure port on the trans with stock pan, I want an oversized trans pan to move that sensor to the correct place to get more accurate temps.

I have a trans cooler placed between the rad and intercooler with f body fans on hi at all times.

The cooler is plumbed in after the radiator but before the trans relying on flowing air to cool, thinking about relocating that cooler under the car with a fan and not run it through the radiator. Any suggestions?
