better than Dorman 800-121 fuel line connector??

What are my other options besides the Dorman 800-121 fuel line connector & AN?
Also is there any way to get nylon fuel line off of those connectors? hot/boiling water maybe?

I cut the nylon line off the connectors. If you remove the connector, the area it occupied won't hold it again so there is no benefit to saving it.
