Hooked HPTuners up to it the other night and I THINK I figured out all the stuff I needed to turn off. It fired and ran. I made a U pipe instead of a Y pipe for the exhaust, to keep it up abouve the bottom of the frame rails. I grabbed a set of Caprice LT1 fans from the U-pull, but they are too wide to fit the Griffin radiator I got for the car.......I need to figure out what to do.

I went with a 3" Flowmaster Super 44 Delta.......I didn't want another Flowmaster, but was worried I wouldn't like the sound of anything else. It does sound good, I must say.

Now I need to figure out the fans for the radiator, radiator hoses, and run transmission cooler lines to the radiator.

I think I am going to order the U Build It AirAid kit. I was going to use black painted PVC like I did on the 85, but I can't find any that is 4" OD, so AirAid it is.

$69 eBay silverado 2002 col air kit would fit nicely. I use them a lot.

I tried one. I'm running to the driver's side though.

How are these frames holding up to the added power? I know the g bodys are floppy as hell once the bodies off of em. BTW those are some awesome cars and that wagon looks freakin sweet.

I know the frames are flimsy without a body, but they are OK once the body is on.

Thanks for the compliment.

I found a set of V6 Firebird fans at the U-pull today. Not quite LS1 fans, but they should be OK. They fit the core size of the radiator perfectly, and the Caprice electric fan harness even plugged right in!

This is awesome. I'm looking for an older b-body to DD but can't find a decent wagon for cheap around here. May have to settle for a sedan.

I ran 2 1/2" into a single 3". The stubs on the TBSS manifolds were already 2 1/2". I had the 3" stuff from the green car that was supposed to be the downpipe. The 2 1/2" I got from Speedway. I bought 3 combo bends and then used 1. LOL. $18.99 i think. I used most of a 48" piece of 2 1/2" also. I chopped a 3" U-bend, and then some of a 48" piece of 3". I will use 2 more 3" U-bends on the over the axle pipe.

$14.99 @ Jegs. I think it was Patriot exhaust.

I wussed out on the exhaust and just dumped it before the axle and after the muffler, because I want to get this going. I will revisit the over the axle piping in the spring.

I about have this wrapped up. I'm going to wait and make sure that everything is 100% before I wrap and loom all the wiring.

I got the seats in finally and the 96 console. I need to find the correct screws to hold the console to the bracket. Looks like I am going to need to dye the light gray too. I like the shifter adapter!! I needed to rig some tape on it to tighten it up, but overall I am happy with it.

Nice swap - how rare is that Center console/shifter setup?

It's 96 Impala SS only. The shift **** is an aftermarket push down adaptor instead of the regular GM **** with a button.

Fancy fancy....Looks like im not getting started untill January as the wagon is being used haha, gotta wait for some down time. But im keepin the stock shifter. Only thing Im sweatin is the exhaust manifolds. Ive been told F body manifolds fir the b-body perfectly, but due to smog reasons, and the fact the truck engine has no air/egr, If I use F body manifolds I have too block those off, no biggie, but thats a redflag. I might be able to get away with it, I need to call the ref that did the certification for the 350 tbi in there now, see what he says. Also im considering the fbody pan and notching the crossmember, I really dont want to, but I want the motor in the right spot and I dont wanna spend 400 on an autokraft pan. Im hoping I can cut a piece out flip it over and weld it back in. Im not a fan of notching like that..the frames on all these cars a kinda flexy as it is, especially with the length of this car. But looking back at what you had to notch with setback plates I might just spend the $$ and be done with it.

I like the console though and that dash. What are you gonna do with the wheels and rest of the body? Keepin the rack on it?

Wheels will probably be 20" Irocs, I am going to cover the woodgrain with a dash kit, or paint it with Fusion paint. I am thinking air ride once this thing is up and running too.

Notch the crossmember and don't look back. You COULD possibly be able to flip the cutout piece, but a little piece of 3/16 or 1/4" plate from Lowes should be under $10.

Wagon is going and going good. I got all of the codes turned off with HPTuners, so no more check engine notification. I need to put down some Dynamat and padding and order some new carpet. It seems to have a little more get up and go now.

Awwww man I was hopping to see some complete interior pics! Love the bonne seats btw.

This thread is one of the things that inspired me to seek out a big wagon. Loving the OCC I picked up.

I need to order a few samples of carpet so I know what color I want. Stock was a lighter gray, but I want to get a charcoal color I think to match the Bonneville seats. I probably won't get carpet for a couple months, now that the car is finally all togther.

I used the cheap-o ebay plates and Moroso solid mounts. Transmission crossmember got the mount section cut out and flipped around and welded in and braced. I think I have a picture or two, give me an hour.........
