Default A Slow 6.0 turbo C10 project.....

This is my second time doing an LSX swap. I completed my first ever motor pull/swap. I did everything myself wiring ect. This time i want to take it old School with a truck I originally wanted to do before the S10. Bear with me because it will be a slow build. I ddont even have the truck yet. Itll be worth while none the least. Motor is a Gen IV 6.0 that came with VVT. For personal reasons Im putting Gen 3 crank/internals in. Much simpler imho. Plus I hate DBW pedal lol. Heres a pic of the previously mentioned S10 just for ***** n gigs..

Im a bargain hunter at heart lol so naturally I said I was going to go all out on this second build but u know how that goes. So check it out, I picked up a headless LY6 from a buddy for $150. My plan is to get it prepped with a fresh hone just to get the crosshatch back, new cam bearings ect. I picked up a set of 317 takeoff heads for $100. Stock rocker set & valve covers for $30. Picked up a GREAT condition 24x tooth LQ4 crank for $100. Free set of gen 3 rods and pistons ( I have a set of newer LS2 style rods, im undecided) free truck balancer. As of right now im leaning towards the LS9 cam with beehive springs . I want a bit of sleeper status sound. Going with a on3 76mm turbo. I still need to get LS9 gaskets, hardened pushrods, a set of LS7 lifters and coils. Im sure ill be using an 80e like my swapped S10 because my local yard only wants $50 for a complete trans

Right now im looking at a 68... just curious do most people roll with the H3 oil pan kit on these swaps. Are the frames identical all throughout the C10 year models? Itll be lowered for sure so imm wondering if I maybe need the holley pan like my s10. Also can you post some pics of your swap because if I can grab the 68 im going with an 80s model truck.
