Im looking at getting a 01+ lq4 to swap in my 94 TA. After researching the lq4 will bolt up to my transmission, but can i get the computer to work with it. I just had the transmission built with a SS3600 stall so I would rather not have another one built. Has anyone done a similar swap or know how i can wire the transmission to work.

I've ran a 94 truck 4l60e behind a 5.3, could possibly work the same. I had to turn off the cel and dtc for the torque converter pwm valve. The 94 only has a tcc on/off valve, where the later 60e's had a tcc on/off valve and a tcc pwm valve. It worked just fine for me.

So I'm guessing as long as I can get someone to take care of that in the tune then i should be fine. I'm on a budget and just spent good money on this trans and would rather use it then build another.

You will have to change two solenoids in the trans and the internal harness. The 94 is non PWM lockup.
