4L60E 13 pin vs 15pin
We just finished a 5.3 swap in a '56 F100 with an '04 truck harness and a 4L60E. We took it for a test drive and it doesn't seem to be shifting right. It's looking like we have an '07 trans with the 15 pin connector. Is there a way to make the 15 pin trans work with the '04 harness?

I'm also working on this build. It seems to me that the extra two pins are for the input speed sensor (ISS), right? If you use a 13 pin harness, are you actually doing much besides losing some additional data? Or is there some difference inside the transmission that requires the PCM to use the ISS data to operate the transmission correctly?

Ya know what, I have a 2007 4l60e from a silverado and never noticed 15 pins. Will have to go take a mirror and flashlight and look cause it's already in the car. Just got done plugging in all my connections to the trans too. I'm using 13 pin connector.

I have an 4l70e from a 2007 Trailblazer. Though I am going to use TCI's EZ-tci controller, it was a specific kit for the later 15-pin(brown connector). Originally it would have used a 42T controller too which is different than the earlier models I believe. My suggestion is you call Jon at PSIConversion 732-691-6531 as I think he can sort out your issues. Haven't used his products yet but I've spoken with him and he seems to be very knowledgeable.

Guess I might be in the clear.
Just snapped this pic. VIN# that was on the tag of the trans 1GCEC19V17Z119585

Just to give an update, after some more driving the transmission is shifting fine. The tranny had been sitting for a couple of years, so it may have needed a couple of heat cycles to get everything working properly, plus PCM learning. It looks like you don't need to worry about the extra two pins.

Second...yes, if the Transmission has 15 pin plug, but the body harness only has 13...you can use it no problem. The extra 2 pins are for the ISS and they just won't be used. No big deal
If the Body harness has 15 pins and the trans only has 13...then you will have issues
