AmericanRacingHeaders "LS Swap Headers Tech thread"...Camaro, Chevelle, Nova......???
#43
Do you know if your headers are compatible with any of the aftermarket subframes for first Gen Camaros? I am looking using either the Art Morrison or Speed Tech subframe or maybe the Scott Mock subframe, but will be either doing a big inch LS or an LS with a supercharger. So am I looking for a header larger than the 1 3/4" primary headers that are available for those subframes.
Thanks,
David

I will run that by both Nick(ARH owner) and our shop foreman Phil to see if they have the specifics on those subframes.
Thanks very much.

C3 - 71 Vette - LS3 Headers installed!
Took a little back and forth between us and ARH but we ended up with something that looks and fit great!
No top down photos because, well there just isn't much to see in the tight C3 engine bay.

You are 2 hours away, bring the car here to Long Island, we will build them.
If there is a demand, we can work on getting them in production.

(My ideal would be a 1-7/8" set of headers with a merge collector option, but I'd be really happy to just see another vendor making these!!)

Steve, Here's my problem with these AR headers. These are the GEN134 headers attached to my LS/4L60e combo. 02 bungs are pointed straight at trans pan and only about an inch away. there is no room to install the 02 sensors. This was a big concern of mine at time of order but I was assured there wouldn't be any problems with the clearance.

There aren't too many options out there. I think Hedman makes some, BRP makes some, and the rest either use manifolds or S10 eBay headers. There is one build thread I saw where someone found some longtubes:
Which is a great design for boiling brake fluid and adding hours to a spark plug job.
