Default 91 s10 alt on dirty dingo bracket

I am trying to put my stock s10 alt from a 2.5 on the dirty dingo bracket but it doesnt line up perfectly its ahout a 1/4 inch off, does anyone have any ideas, and if I was to have to run a silverado alt how wud I wire it up, this is a carb 5.3 with no computer, stock alt has a 2 wire pigtail

The silverado alternator wires the same, it just has a different plug. To make it charge, all you should have to hook up are the main battery terminal and the brown wire in the plug coming from the light. I believe it's still the "L" terminal on the newer alternators just like the older cs-130 style.

Are the case sizes the same? Like the mounting bolt holes?

No one? Does anyone know why my 91 alternator won't work in the new bracket? Are the cases different or something
