Default V6 to V8 Fbody Swap with a twist!

Hey guys so I hear you all like building things from scratch?
Now first off I just want to say that I don't want anyone saying "Oh you should have just bought a 2000 camaro and saved yourself the time and money"
Time and money aren't my concern. Building something from scratch was.

Anyways now for something everyone loves! MINIMAL COMMENTING AND TONS OF PICTURES.
Here we go!

Ground Zero:
V6 AUTO 97 camaro. 800 bucks.

And so ends that chapter^!

Next I went and bought a dropout (LS1/T56 Combo from the states)

Stripped right down

Engine parts:
Harlan sharp 1.6 non adjustable rockers

AFR .650 dual valve springs

Cam I'll be using (not too aggressive)

Comp Cam 3722R/3724R HR 114
383 Stroker Kit

Head Studs

Lifters/Bearings

Bored out to 3902 (for 383)

Block painted

Bought another Camaro for the Posi Diff lol here's the journey.
Ripped it right apart!

Steel braided fuel line kit from Summit

Stage 3 (6 puck) Monster Clutch Kit

New slave

92 mm throttle body and 92 FAST with 42 lb green top injectors and modified fuel rail for -6an fitting.

Tie rods, Ball joints and such

Strange Coil Overs

Build took a swift 90 degree turn into this.

Never on the road shell that was donated by GM to a school to practice body work. Was actually a firebird but I drilled all the spot welds out and welded on Camaro quarters and rockers.

PEACE V6 CAR

I like this one a lot

Ground. It's on it.

Yuck! Let's fix that

Love it.

SO I had an exhaust hangar (the one for the rear pass side) that I needed to de-rustify lol. Didn't want to be bothered with the sandblaster so I found a neat trick online using baking soda, water and a battery charger and the results were incredible. This bracket was believed to be garbage when I got it because it was so badly flaking with rust. Check this out.

yumm

BOOM CLEAN.

Just bought the torque arm relocation bracket/tranny crossmember off another guy on the forums!
Here's a pic of that:

And I was getting ticked off looking at that little 2.5 inch pipe from the maf to my inner fender so I upgraded to 4 inch and it just looks so right... No more bottleneck baby! Yes I know there is a black zip tie holding the header wrap... going to the store and buying some metal ones tomorrow

Damn that is awesome!! How were you able to get a vin on the car? I'm assuming the shell didn't have one? Regardless this is probably one of the best builds I've seen!! How long did it take? You also look pretty young lol

The shell did have a registered vin complete with ownership. Thanks a lot for the props! It took about a year to complete when all was said and done and I'm 21 years old just have a baby face lol.

Nice job. I don't think there is anything about a car you won't touch, or cut, or tear apart.

that means a lot thanks man.

@madmike9396 to each their own haha I was swaying that way for a while but I decided to go with the more updated front end. No regrets!
