Smile Bobls needs help??

Can anyone tell me what the best fit would be for my 67 Nova sedan with the heidts mustand 2 front end? I am leaning towards the LS1 with 4L60 from a 04 GTO because of the rear sump pan and the config of the belt drive system. Please comment and advise???

There are so many choices, go with what your budget, skill level, and goals allow. Nothing wrong with the choice you stated.

You can also purchase a used GTO pan to put on any LS (car or truck) motor you want. They are a little rare, and pricey, but cheaper than a lot of the aftermarket pans. I have one I will be putting on Ebay soon.

I vote for LS2. More expensive than the LS1, but more cubic inches and more power. 405 stock, 450+ with just headers.
