I will get a set of Fikse's for it, but it wont be the first set of wheels. Formula43 are nice, but nothing excited me really. Similar to Fikse. They're timeless designs but kinda plain.

ohhh, that hurts,

I have Fikse profil 13's but I'm not worried on the dated look, hell, I started building my car the same time Steilow started the Red Witch,

your right, there are very modern wheels out there, but the more I look at them the more they belong on a suv,

HAHA, not trying to offend anyone. Especially with Fikse wheels. There is absolutely nothing wrong with them. My favorite 69 camaros have FM5's.

I will end up with a set, but for right now just looking for more modern.

In 3-4 years I'm sure these wheels will be outdated or date the car. FM5's and other Fikse will always look good on first gens...or just about anything else for that matter.

This wont be the last set of wheels I have for the car

no worries, Boudie Stroud built Tim Allen a new 68, same color as mine, Deep Fathom Green, he runs custom made 17" rallys, I'm a fan of those too,

my nova still where's them,

Well few updates on the car. Still sitting at GAP, and looks better than I remembered.

My Pro-Touring Project - 1969 Camaro LSX427 TT-7bme1ca.png

I picked up a few things for it since I've been back.
LS2 block - Stock pullout. Will be machined for 402" stroker

My Pro-Touring Project - 1969 Camaro LSX427 TT-1tarwmr.png

LS9 heads - Will be sent to be ported and new springs for cam swap.

My Pro-Touring Project - 1969 Camaro LSX427 TT-dc3zutz.png

Fast 102R intake - Unsure if I'll use these rails, may go bigger billet rails

My Pro-Touring Project - 1969 Camaro LSX427 TT-e9uddoc.png

Also to celebrate the sale of my TBSS today I just placed the order for:
2 x GT35R's w/ TiAL stainless turbine housing (0.82AR), antisurge compressor housing
2 x MV-R TiAL 44mm WG
2 x 50mm TiAL Q BOV

Will be going to GAP tomorrow and they have a set of SW headers I am going to be buying. We're going to get the underside lizard skinned and painted. Measure out for wheels so I know what to order as well.

I also picked up Fesler door handles and Ring Brothers hood hinges. I'll post some pics of them when I get a chance.

Well last week was pricey. Ordered those turbos and put in an order for the cooling system.

Autorad core support w/ radiator, a/c condenser, oil cooler, and twin intercoolers, closeout panels. Will be painting all of this black when it arrives so it doesn't stand out from being "stock." We're going to fabricate a belly pan closeout to the core support so we can make sure all the air getting through the grille will go either through the radiator or through the turbo inlets that will have air boxes built into the fenders to close off the cool air supply from the hot engine compartment.

Really looking forward to getting that package.

Need to update this thread a little, got some parts in!

Hard to believe it all fits in this small box. Weighed under 30lb!

Seems well packaged!

Turbos look NICE! They're SMALL but I guess the cars I've been around are either big singles or HUGE power cars...These are baby turbos!

I spent yesterday at the shop prepping the bottom of the car for undercoating. I will be going by after work today and getting that completed on the car.

Autorad sent an email today verifying the order. Hoping I get that in the next couple weeks so we can start the mock up of the turbo setup.

Rearend is out of the car for undercoating so plan to swap the gears (4.10s going to 3.50s). Got a few brackets to get powdercoated as well.

If I can get the roller around wheels over the brakes, I'll install the brakes so we can take accurate measurements for the new wheels. And check something else off the long list of action items.

More pics to come soon.

Well according to GAP my radiator/intercooler setup shipped so looking forward to receiving that in the near future (was scheduled for 4/21 so little ahead).

Went to GAP the past few days to work on the car a bit and get the bottom finished up. We pulled the rearend out and set it aside so we had good access to the bottom of the car.

I went to prepping any areas showing surface rust and knocking down any high points in the patch panels that had been done. All looking good now!

We went from this:

Back down on the ground on the roller wheels, waiting to test fit some nice wheels. May order wheels at the end of this week/beginning of next.

We went with bedliner. I was going to use Lizard Skin but it dries gray in color so you have to spray that and then paint it. If it chips the paint, it'll be gray.

This is durable and functional. Dynamat inside should help with noise and thermal insulation!

Happy with the outcome on that coating, looks good, light texture and easy to clean!

Update is LS2 block I picked up off CL is no good to use. It's 4.020" bore and needs to be honed to clean up. Won't work for me.

Guess no time like the present to go bigger!

Test fitting the 345/35/18 MT DR.

Looks like 18x12 w/ 6.25" BS is the ticket.

What was the width on your rear axle?

Need to check and see, should have been narrowed 2.75" from DSE (per side) but didn't verify the width. Wheel measurement tool showed their typical BS of 5.75" didn't work with these tires. 6.25" is what worked with the tires and gave travel.
