Default Cruise experts needed.

I will be starting a new swap in a couple of months. I'm putting an 04 5.3/4L60E and np241 in an 85 K5 blazer. I want to hook up the cruise, since the motor is DBW. This thing will driven a lot so cruise would be nice. Can someone look at the two schematics and see if I can use the factory cruise switch or will I have to swap it for a different one?

You should be able to use the '85 switch with no problems.

Figuring out what wires to connect together is what's giving me problems. It would have been nice for GM to keep the same wire colors.

That's easy. Under the dash where it plugs in, the connector will have four wires. Pink is ignition power, gray is on/off, dark blue is set/coast and dark green is resume /accel.

Here is what the motor will be going in. I'll do a real build thread when I start it. The interior was junk so I got new carpet and installed seats and console from an 05 Silverado.

Looks like two of the colors changed but the other two will be the same. Thanks a lot.

If you are concerned about the colors, just grab a test light and check out the wires. I did that on the 89 wagon and it worked fine. DBW is easy easy for cruise!

Yeah, they changed the power wire from pink to brown and the resume/accel from green to gray with a black stripe.
