Finally got the balancer back on! What a pain, no parts store in the area rented the proper tool, had to get creative! Operation 5.3 harmonic balancer install compete! (Small victories are sometimes the best!!!)

Bearing from rental installer used on the very inside, against the balancer.

Another shot of it in. Got lots of wiring left to do, along with cooler lines and fuel lines. Than off for exhaust and drive shaft shortening.

Guess how many times I drove mine since I bought it 2 years ago. Twice! haha. I finally got the fixes for the fan rewire, and once that's done, I'm going to test drive it around the block.....uphill. Can't risk downhill yet.

That's nuts! Only twice, damn. I bought mine in August, drove it probably a hundred times, I miss it a bunch and am looking forward to some new pep in its step.

See if you can get a video of that thing on the test drive! I'm excited for you, that's a hell of a build!

Just a great heads up if you are doing a swap into this year Impala....the GM LS swap muscle car oil pan does not work!!! Unless you raise you engine about 2.5"s!!! Don't try it!

So yea, just put the Holley one on.

Thumbs up Brake Booster

JDub - nice job! I'm getting ready to swap an LS3 into my '69 Impala. Can you tell me what diameter brake power booster you are running? Thanks!
