LS2 Conversion in my '62 Bel Air - Walbro 255 vs Aeromotive A1000 Stealth Fuel Pump
Hey guys, starting to collect parts for a LS2 conversion in my '62 Bel Air. Have a question about fuel pumps. I am trying to decide on fuel pumps and am looking at either the Walbro 255 or 190 (in conjunction with Tanks Inc. OEM style tank set up for the pump) or would I be better off spending the extra money on a Aeromotive A1000 Stealth? I have read a few posts about Walbro's having a short life so that is part of my concern whereas I know Aeromotive makes a stout pump. However I can get a Tanks Inc. OEM tank (with the Walbro pump set up built in) with the Walbro pump for less then the price of the Aeromotive. I am only looking at making no more then 500hp.

The real Walbro pumps will last a long time. The ones that **** the bed in a few months are the Chinese knock offs sold on ebay. Usually three months is about the life span of them. They look exactly like the real thing, but they aren't. If it is sold as a walbro but is about half priced, then it's fake.
