68 Camaro LSA/TR6060 '13 ZL1 interior retro-fit
Hello all. First time posting, long time lurker not really having anything to contribute, until now. Need some opinions on how the interior mock up looks. below are some quick spec's.
68 camaro. just bought rusted tub and title. pro-touring..pretty much replaced every piece of sheet metal.
Thanks for having me, and look forward to opinions on the interior, and apologize for my hand. I was trying to keep the lights from washing out the photos.

Its about 5" wider, from inner rocker to inner rocker. the plan is to reshape the tunnel and section 2" out of each inner rocker around the seats to get 2013 OEM console and seats spacing. thats a much larger commitment though..thats why i wanted other opinions. didn't get the door panels, we'll see. i test drove a new Z-28 last week, and it felt more cramped to me than the mock up. lol. guess the 68's taller ceiling and windshield rake make the difference.

Thanks for the feedback. Actually theres a canyon between the original seat and the door, so much that the plan is OEM/mod or custom door panels styled after the OEM ones..with the OEM handles and window/lock/mirror controls. probably a little thinner though. lol

You made that dash look very nice in there.
For your information, there is a company that makes a VERY similar door panel for the first gen camaro that styles the 5th gen.

They come like this:
But they have put up finished ones like this:
Those are from Lateral-G, so let me know if the pics done show up and I can re-host.

Thanks for the positive feedback. We were originally only after the drivetrain, however we ended up making a deal for what was left of the car. That's how the scope was expanded to include the interior. You can find the drivetrain packages on eBay, but it's an expensive decision either way. It's actually probably a little more expensive to get one from salvage than brand new in crate. It all depends on what the goal is. We want as much of the capability of the interior and convenience packages as we can get, so salvage was the way to go...getting all the harnesses and modules to sort "out" instead of sorting "in" to the first gen harness. We are still working on a strategy for the bcm program changes required to eliminate the things like traction control, mag suspension, and others that are a bridge too far. Thanks for the lead on the door panels. We had not come across them yet.

As proud as I am of my own interior work....this makes me jealous. I hate you.
Haha well I don't hate you but you make me hate myself. This is extremely cool and I am dying to see more.

I think this is pretty cool, I'm just curious if you'd thought out the wiring for the gauges. I am in the process of putting a 02' Denali cluster in a 89' Toyota Pickup, and I'm trying to gather as much info as I can. I'm pretty sure your setup uses GMLAN where as I'm running serial data 2, but just figured Id ask in the event you had it all thought out.

Looks good! A few have used the 04-06 GTO dash package and integrated all of the instrumentation. I am pretty sure it is all based off the CAN-BUS data. I don't see why most of the programing can't be done with HPTuners. Maybe take a look at their site for more info.

My business partner is here today with his photo gear, so I will post better pics than from an iPhone. We are considering doing a full photo mock/mash up of the complete finished interior more or less for fun today, as it's too HOT today to to actually work. It's cheating a little..I know..but hey were all in with the mod, and already fab and installed the new brackets for the dash support and it's bolted where it will live the rest of its life.

Update
Been busy lately, but got some progress on the tunnel graft and firewall, and rockers section this weekend.
. Needed to make sure all the Global A security architecture still functioned and had no issues with the traction control, electric steering, patched out of the CAN busses.
