Default 2000 4.8 silverado 6.0 swap

Hey guys im looking to swap in a 6.0 in place of a 4.8. I need a little insight. from what I understand I should use a 01-07 "u" motor for the easiest swap, is that correct? what about the intake? Do I use the 4.8 intake with the return or use the 6.0 intake without? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You can use the "u" (lq4) or "n" (lq9). Use the intake from your 4.8. I'm pretty sure it's the same as the 6.0 and you wouldn't have to worry about things not fitting.
This is the easiest swap there is. Just swap the long block in and tune.
