Default 4L60E question

Can anyone identify the electrical connector below? It hangs off the 4L60E on the passenger side, just back of the bellhousing...

This is on a factory LS2/4L60E combo (GTO) with the full factory wiring harness. There were three other connectors on the harness that went to the tranny, but I didn't see anything for this one.

Agreed, should be another on the other side, maybe not in the trans harness.

Well, that's interesting because there are two other connectors (one on each side) that are orange/black, have four leads, but are inline instead of square. I thought these were the O2 sensors since there is one on each side. What are the orange/black connectors if the blue/white is O2.

Alright, so never mind on the above question. I search RockAuto for GTO parts, and now I see that this setup has two each of upstream and downstream O2 sensors. The square ones are the upstream and the black/orange ones are the downstream.

So, now the question becomes which ones do I tune out? I assume I get rid of the upstream?

Nope, you get rid of the downstream, which only verify operation of the cats.

The rear O2 sensors will be listed in the software as "Bank 1, sensor 2" and "Bank 2, sensor 2."

Awesome.

I hope the O2 sensors come with some long cords. Those upstream connectors are pretty far away from the bungs at the end of my long tube headers.

You can buy extended adapters that lengthen them. No need to cut or splice anything, just plug in both ends and you're done.

all of the above answers are correct. One more thing, be sure you connect bank 1 sensor 1 to the odd side, and bank 2 sensor 1 to the even side, If backwards you will have problems. Steve
