I was thinking about trying the GTO fuel rail covers from a 2005 LS1 GTO on my LS3 engine. Wonder if there is any reason why they would not fit? Has anyone tried this?

We are having issues with my hydraulic clutch set up that I purchased from American Powertrain. Seems this unit works fine for a Chevelle, but not so good for a GTO. Clutch pedal pivot point seems to have alignment issues. Old66tiger, are you happy with your set up? Wonder if anyone else has suggestions for dealing with this issue?

Clutch disengages about 2 inches from the top and engages right at the top of the pedal. It has been suggested we use an accumulator to spread out the range between engaging and release. Anybody used that approach?

What master are you using??? the larger the bore, the less travel it takes. Also depends on the volume of the slave. My master is the 0.7" bore, 1.4" stroke. The slave is a Tilton 6000 series I believe. My clutch releases pretty quick but it takes a full stroke almost to release 100%. It takes some getting used to. I think Andrew even killed it once when he drove it. Lol. I actually like it, takes less movement of my leg to slam gears. I will check my thread more often...let me know how it goes

Which LS7 flywheel did you use ?? Aluminum or GM cast ?? I couldn't tell from the pic. Thank you. Also, I have read many guys having problems with the starter nose fitting the bellhousing, they used starter# 12617229. I know you used Bosch # SR8581N. Thx again.

I used the cast flywheel...Good enough for a Z06, good enough for me!!! I am not sure if 12617229 is the truck starter or the camaro. I tried the Camaro starter and it would not fit the quicktime housing. The Bosch is the ticket with the Quicktime and is much cheaper than the truck starter

Ls 3
I have put about 2000 miles on my LS3 in a 1967 Pontiac GTO with a 6 speed T56 magnum. Its is great on the road and pulls a ton! Manners are a little ragged around town and stop and go traffic. It is a real thrill when you step on the gas! I built my car to drive. It will not be a show queen. Looking forward to a road trip. I have a Ford 9 inch with 3.89 gears. In 6th gear, it turns around 1,800 at 80 miles per hour. gas milage in town sucks, but is respectable on the highway. pretty cool to get a factory warranty with such an engine!
